UfA is really what itís
title says, a book that unifies all financial principles. In this
sense, it is a bit of a theory of everything of finance.
It spans all types of
financial instruments and all types of analysis, risks, valuation
principles etc. It even spawns from the pure financial industry
(banks) via insurances to the non-financial world.
Everybody that has read
UfA knows, why it is possible to spawn such a vast edifice. This is
only possible, because it is built on first elementary building
blocks of finance. This however needs clear structural thinking
which does not always stay inside the box.
In our lectures we try
to get first the necessary thought categories across, which are
important in each chapter.
The downloadable file
dwells a bit further on this topic and explains in more detail what
we have to get across in the lecture and in the lab.
